UCA Distinctives

SMALLER CLASS SIZE

16-18 scholars per class means your child will have more specialized instruction and attention compared to a class with 22-30 students, which is the typical class size for charter/public schools.

SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION

The traditional whole group teaching method doesn't guarantee students are being taught on their level. We spend over 50% of instructional time allowing students to learn in hands-on activities in independent and teacher-led groups.

Holistic Care / High Expectations

We see every one of our students as an image-bearer of their Creator. We seek to nurture every student at UCA while setting clear boundaries to help them be successful. We are passionate about calling out each child's unique glory and vigilant to hold kids accountable to being their best.

At UCA, we think kids should love learning. We want our students to experience the world around them instead of just reading books about it. We are committed to giving students hands-on opportunities to be curious.

LONGER SCHOOL YEAR

In order to support students and allow them to reach their potential, we are committed to giving students more time in the classroom. Students at UCA are in school for 39 weeks, compared to 35 weeks in the public school district.

Enrollment Process

UCA is a tuition-free, private Christian school serving scholars and families living in the Kansas City Public School boundary lines. We are currently a K-7th grade school and will be adding a 8th grade class in fall 2022.

UCA has a maximum class size of 18 scholars, so there is often a waiting list. Priority is given to scholars who are already connected with a member of the UCA family or who live in close proximity to the school (2810 East 80th Street Kansas City, MO).

Parents are required to attend 3 mandatory events throughout the course of the year for their scholar to remain enrolled at UCA. Check out our beliefs page to learn more about what it means to us to be a Christian school.

Enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year is currently closed.

Enrollment is currently closed.
